VoxelFab is a blog by Joris Peels. I’m 34 live in Amsterdam and love 3D printing, make-ing & personal fabrication. I previously worked for Shapeways and i.materialise as their Community Manager. This blog will be about these things and product design, BOP, iterative design, product development, crowdsourcing, things that inspire me & technology.
Basically I believe that a world where everyone can make anything & everyone can design everything is rapidly approaching. I would like to help document the advent of this world. That’s why I started this blog.
The term VoxelFab was coined by me in response to work by Hod Lipson on an idea by Neil Gershenfeld. The word is meant to describe the replacement technology for 3D printing. You can read an explanation of that here.
I’m a 3D printing consultant for the 3D printing industry and help existing companies, start ups and new market entrants with strategy, marketing, online, business development, design & community management. Want to say hi? email joris (at) voxelfab (dot) com

nice blog, joris! good to see you finally get your own place in the interwebs.
Cool site with new ahead ideas!
I was thinking in 3dApps.. has products of 3d printers, or mixing with your VoxelFab, VoxelApps! Developing physical functional apps.
Visit my site:)
hey there, I found your site looking for info on voxel printing. If you check out the Reprap forums you can see an approach for a particularly interesting form, which uses ultrasound to bond the blocks. What do you think of it?
Amazing, I had not heard of that previously, it sounds very promising.
